Top 50 Business Directory Listings for 2015

By December 23, 2014 SEO Advice

Open DirectoryIf you are a website owner or webmaster for a client’s website, listen up. Search Engine Optimization is important to you, yes? Over the past year, Google has updated their algorithm to make quality links more important than quantity.

One way that local businesses and national companies can create quality links is by setting up well written business profiles on business listing websites. Submitting to the top business listing sites is one of the first actions that we take as part of our SEO services for our clients.

Submitting quality profiles to these directories create multiple benefits for your business. Some of these sites will attract new customers directly from the business directory. Other business directories will help fill up page 1 and page 2 for your business, pushing down any negative pages or competitor sites sneaking into branded terms. And most of all, these sites will create quality link backs to your site that search engines like to see.

Hands Holding A Seo Sphere When submitting to business directories be sure to: use the correct information, check for phone or email verification, submit quality / unique content for each directory listing, try not to leave any spaces blank, and do not hire an offshore company to do this for you (they typically do not pay attention to detail).

Also note that some of these listings above may not be the best for your business, and there are niche business listing sites for doctors, lawyers, real estate professionals, and other industries. The list above is generic for almost any business, but specifically more for local businesses.

We recommend to create a spreadsheet, and keep track of your logins for each business listing, chances are that you will have to go back and make changes at some point in time.
