Welcome to Start. Grow. Scale. – a podcast to help you build your business for success, just like the top entrepreneurs and multi-millionaires.

My name is Matt Ganzak, entrepreneur business builder and marketing consultant. Today you are taking your first step into my training series that will help you Start, Grow and Scale your business.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to listen. I deeply appreciate every one of you, and my goal is to help you achieve your goals in building a successful business.

I have created this training series for anyone who is serious about building a business and being successful. If you have a product or service, or if you are thinking about starting a business, or possibly just want to start a business but have no idea what your business will be, you have come to the right place.

I have built several successful companies from the ground up, and also have consulting for large companies to become more successful.

A little bit more about me, I started my professional career as a radio personality on air. Through radio and broadcasting, I really enjoyed working with businesses through promoting events and marketing.

I built my first website in 1998, and if you would have told me then that I would be a successful web advisor later in life, I would have said you are crazy!

I really believed that I was always going to work in radio and broadcasting, however, technology evolves. In a sense, I am still using my broadcasting talents to bring you my training series, but I vowed to always stay ahead of the trends in technology and that is what has brought me to this point.

Everything that I train and consult on is best practice for the best technology in “what works” for building businesses.

Over the course of my training, I have 3 goals that I am trying to achieve: 1) to make my training simple to understand for the novice, while also beneficial for advanced entrepreneurs at the same time. 2) Stay ahead of the latest technology and trends to keep you informed and 3) help everyone listening to extract what you need from this to become successful.

You could be developing a product, trying to get your product online, or maybe everything is online and it is just not selling. You will find something in here that will help you succeed!

Again, I am very thankful that you are taking some time out of your day to spend it with me, and I promise that I will do my best to help you in anyway I can.
So why am I doing this? Why do I take the time to create content that shows people exactly what I do to create success?

I actually had one of my clients ask why I gave away my secrets to how I make money online. Now wait… don’t roll your eyes. I am not one of those crazy “make $400 a day working from home guys”

What I have done for myself and for my clients is create websites that get a ton of traffic. In fact, I have had over 1.3 million organic visits on my websites in the last few months, all organic traffic!

So then I put up ads around my content, and viola! Ad revenue.

Then I also have other websites that sell products, services and make money for my company, while also working with clients to help their businesses achieve their goals while meeting their ROI.

I have sold millions in products and services through my clients and through my business. I want to help you be successful, and I am giving you this training to help you achieve success.

Understand that there is no shortcut to success, maybe you can cut a corner and make a few dollars, but everything that I train is how to build a sustaining business that will last!

This is not a shortcut to success, but hopefully I can help you get on the right track. This is not a get rich quick scheme, or some crazy claim that someone posted on your Facebook wall, this is my real life struggle to find what works and then I show you exactly how I accomplished success.

In fact, I am working with brick and mortar businesses, as well as online businesses. So my training can help anyone from a lawyer or doctor or restaurant owner, to a blogger or app creator or someone who has an idea and is trying to get your dream online. In fact, I have worked with celebrities, musicians and authors! It doesn’t matter who you are or what you are doing, I am positive that you can take something from this to apply to your business.

What can you expect to learn? I want you to learn how to take my success and apply it to your business. Or if you are an expert at something, and you never thought of making a business from your expertise, I hope that you can have your AHA! Moment and get started building a business around something that you love.

I have dedicated the last 12 years of my life to becoming a student of successful entrepreneurs and testing to find what works. This training is the combination of hundred’s of thousands of dollars worth of training and million’s of dollars in A/B testing.

In this podcast I’m going to share with you the best marketing strategies that have helped me build multi-million dollar companies.

When I started my business, I had no idea what I was doing. I wanted to learn how to build a business, and no one was training on these best practices. These marketing strategies were not taught in schools, and there were no experts creating training like this online, I was lost.

Fast forward ten years to today, and there are people training about Internet marketing but still entrepreneurs are lost when it comes to the execution of their ideas. I know this because many of my clients read books, study online courses and start creating an idea of how to get started, but then they get stuck in neutral.

Also, there are so many courses and experts training on shortcuts and loopholes in the system, which when exploited can make money. Or, experts are training on how to use proprietary software and systems that are very narrowly focused towards building your business. If your business does not fit a specific mold, you could be lost.

My clients want to build their businesses on a solid foundation, and the best foundation to build a business with education. Understanding that the decisions that you make can negatively impact your business and profits in the future. Or worse yet, and the number 1 problem that I see is when clients spend so much time building there business, and then they fall short on marketing and making sales.

What I provide for my clients is both the tools to get to their destination and also the education on how to get there.

You have the choice of being able to build your business the proper way, and get on the fast track for success. Or you can get lost a few times, struggling find someone that can point you in the right direction.

So here you are, listening to this first Start podcast, ready to get moving towards your goals. Maybe you have an idea and want to figure out how to create success for it; or you have already built something and you are looking to achieve your goals; or you could be here because you know that you want to make more money, but you are not sure how yet.

I have carefully created this entire system to help you regardless of the product that you are selling, or the service that you are providing. In fact, this program takes you through the entire process of getting from where you are right now, to helping you set your destination and then showing you the strategies on how to get to where you want to be.

My goal is to help give you every bit of knowledge that I have to assist you on your journey to success and I will even give you access to the products, systems and even my team can jump in to help you along the way. I am dedicated to assisting to build your success.

This training is available in different formats. So you can put this in your car, on your computer, while you are working out, or where ever you are to keep up with the series.

No excuses, I will hold you accountable to give you that push you need to build your success. Know that you can achieve anything; you just have to put in the effort.

I want to start with my seven secrets to success. Listen up!

Here is the number one thing that will make your business successful. This is something you probably never thought would be the most powerful tool.

I will give you a hint, it is not a website, a marketing strategy, software, or anything you can download…

Think you know what it is? Are you stumped?

Here it is… the number one thing that is going to make your business successful is your mindset.

When I realized this, my business took off! In order to create everything I want in life, all I had to do is know that I am going to be successful, trust myself and eliminate the doubt from my mind. Wow…

This simple practice of thinking positively has attracted new clients, customers, contractors, colleagues and mentors who have built my business. Your business is not all about you; understand that if you have the right mindset, do your best and continue to try and improve, you are guaranteed success in your future.

Wow. Just think about that.

The only thing standing between you and your goals is your mindset and attitude.

Your fears will dictate your future success. So right now, I want you to take a moment and tell yourself, out loud:

“I will be successful…”

Repeat…

Repeat…

Now take a deep breath and release all the negative thoughts in your head about this business venture. Then whenever you are starting to think negatively, repeat this process and tell yourself “I will be successful.”

You are going to have a huge breakthrough; you ARE the entrepreneur who will be successful. Know this, live this, and opportunity will open the door for you and your business.

Which brings me to the second most important step in the success of your new business: Your motivation.

You cannot expect someone to do everything for you. The top entrepreneurs and business people in the world got there with hard work and educating themselves. The top mentors are the best students and through educating themselves, they are armed with the most powerful tool to crush their competition, knowledge.

This is why entrepreneurs who have created success once can duplicate over and over. First they know that they will be successful, and second the top entrepreneurs know that they have to invest their time to educate themselves. You cannot expect anyone in your organization to work harder than you. If you accept this mentality, you will achieve the highest levels of success.

Which brings me to the third secret to success; find a mentor or someone who inspires you. Understand what drives them, how they created their success and apply their teachings to your business.

I have been very blessed and I am so grateful for all the mentors that I have had along the way, you could say, I was groomed to become the person who I am today.
My favorite quote that keeps me going is: I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work – Thomas Edison

Some of you may think that to be tacky or cliché, but it keeps me going and continuing to test new ideas, trying to create a breakthrough.

You can feel free to borrow my inspiration, and I will continue sharing with you what has inspired me, but I do recommend finding inspirational people who inspire you.

The fourth secret to success is to focus your time on what you do best and bring in other’s who fill in your weaknesses. If you are not an expert marketer or web developer, bring in someone who is an expert and then share this training with them to maximize results.

This is another reason why I have created a program where you can reach out with questions, and I can connect you up with an expert who can assist you with anything you need. Some of the items in this course will be vital for the success of your business, and I will also be educating you on red flags to look out for, so it is important for you to consume everything that I am sharing with you.

There are many of you who might go through this training series and figure out how to follow the step by step, how to guides to create success, use your resources available to you to maximize productivity and improve results through leveraging expert’s advice and even expert’s time.

Moving right through to the number 5 expert secret to success, do not dabble. Commit yourself to success and building your new business. If you treat your business as a hobby, it will not create the success that you set with your goals. Dedicate ample time to your business, and block out the world.

Turn off your phone, shut down your emails, don’t open Facebook, shut the door and focus a dedicated amount of time everyday to this. If you do not commit the time, uninterrupted, you will find yourself spinning your wheels.

Often, I have to check myself on this because I am so connected to the internet, my web systems and because of my dedication to organization, I cannot let emails sit in my inbox without being filed into the right place. Automation systems and other organizational systems that I have setup have helped, but still when a new email pops up, I typically check the email to make sure it is not important. If the email is important, sometimes I can get off on another track.

This is my weakness that I am consistently trying to improve.

Typically when I am distracted onto another task, it will take me 15 minutes to get back into the workflow, and when you are writing web copy or a task for a project manager to work on, I typically will have to go back and reread to get back on track with my thought process. This is completely counter productive.

This is why I have adopted this secret to success, blocking out the outside world and staying completely consumed in the task until it is completed. There will always be distractions, but if you commit yourself to completing one task before moving onto the next task, then you will look back on your list to accomplish and have more checkmarks in the completed column.

Which brings us to the number 6, create lists daily, weekly and monthly that need to be accomplished. Then share your lists with the appropriate members of your team.

As the CEO of the company, you are responsible for the direction of your company and your team. If you do not have a team yet, still create your lists as you would be shared with your project managers and management staff. This way you will condition yourself to have your to do lists for yourself and for your team.

When you begin working with experts to get your marketing accomplished, you will already have a head start with your lists already being created for what needs to be accomplished. As a developer and expert marketer, I can say that the most successful projects that I have ever worked on, were those where the owner of the company helped keep lists and would follow up on the items as they are getting completed.

Again, we go back to the second most important tip, YOU are the most important element of the equation of success and you cannot rely on anyone but yourself to create that success. Carve out your time accordingly to apply to your new business and create lists, share with your team and follow up on tasks that are being accomplished. If you rely on someone else to run your business from day 1, your business is doomed to fail. Of course, delegation is important but by the time you are ready to delegate the day-to-day operations, you should have a solid organizational structure for the work that is getting completed daily, weekly and monthly that you can share with your management team.

Which brings us to our last secret to success; create goals for your business. Your goals need to be specific and broken down into immediate and long term. Some goals need to be realistic while others need to be enormous! The most important thing about making goals is writing them down, and putting these goals someplace that you will see them daily.

For example, most companies need to build a website and then need to drive traffic to these website pages, gaining leads and then converting leads to sales. Goals that can be setup in this process would be:

What day is the new website going live?
How much traffic do we need on a page? By when?
How many leads will be created from this traffic?
What is the estimated revenue from these leads?

This is an immediate goal template that you can use for your business. And again, this might not apply to every business model, but most business models require a low entry point (free consultation, free report, etc) and then a follow up will turn a lead into a sale. And we will get more into this strategy on future podcasts.

Ok so that was a fine example of a short-term goal, now what about your long-term goals?

These goals often will include large sums of money being made, or lifestyle upgrades, or luxury trips, yachts, planes, whatever your heart desires.

Now everyone knows that setting goals is important, however, what you need to work on is working backwards from the goals to fill in the gaps to create smaller segments of goals.

Through hard work, dedication, focus and above all a positive mindset, you can achieve anything that you want in life. Do not take the shortcuts to success, and build your business on a strong foundation. These are the keys to my success and the success of my clients.

Regardless of where you are starting, whether you have had success before or if this is your first shot at being an entrepreneur, you have come to the right place.
